“That’s natural,” Tong Sui said with a smile, nodding. “Don’t worry; Luo Luo and I will attend on time.”
Upon hearing his address, Blont expressed a flicker of surprise in his eyes. It was quite bold for a male bug to address the general in such a manner. His tone held a hint of sincere admiration as he said, “I look forward to your and the General’s appearance.”
After hanging up the communication, Tong Sui let out a heavy sigh of relief. Blont’s words implied that they must attend the banquet whether they wanted to or not.
Karl sensed his worry and quietly suggested, “Should we notify the General first?”
“Later; let’s not wake him up,” Tong Sui replied as he headed out with vegetable seeds.
In the courtyard, there were automatic farming robots. He only needed to place the seeds into the hopper, and the plump little robot started clattering to work. The soil was loosened, and seeds were sown one by one.
Tong Sui was somewhat distracted, realizing that what was to come would eventually arrive. Even though he knew he might run into someone he despised at the banquet, there was no way to avoid it.
With so many worries, if he followed Bai Xingluo’s personality, it would likely be quite a disadvantage. But wasn’t he here for the purpose of saving? No matter what, he wouldn’t allow the original plot to reoccur; he would protect Bai Xingluo well, ensuring that he shined forever.
The small farming robot quickly finished planting, and the automatic irrigation system began its work while the robot obediently stood aside.
Tong Sui suppressed his insignificant negative emotions and turned back towards the villa.
When Bai Xingluo woke up, his spiritual sea was restored to the calmness it had not experienced for years. This feeling of tranquillity was so rare like the constraints that constantly held him were suddenly loosened, leaving him in a daze.
Snapping back to reality, he suddenly noticed that the surroundings were empty. His heart sank, and after checking the time, he hurriedly got up. He had a strict routine but wrapped in Tong Sui’s presence, he had overslept by several hours.
Bai Xingluo rushed downstairs, not even taking the time to maintain his usual meticulous attire; his collar was messy as he slid down into slippers. As he rounded the corner, he heard the lively chatter from below.
“Lord Tong Sui, you have such a great figure. How do you maintain it?”
A somewhat unfamiliar voice, imbued with deliberate seduction, declared, “You look much better in person than in the pictures and videos. Have you considered adding another female attendant?”
This designer, who claimed to be summoned by Bai Xingluo, was overwhelming in his enthusiasm, leaving Tong Sui feeling a bit at a loss.
The bug, thinking he was quite good-looking, boldly approached with a tape measure in hand, aiming to get closer to Tong Sui. Just as he was about to make contact, a bony hand suddenly appeared, swiftly snatching the tape from him.
“You!”
The male bug turned around and found himself met with a pair of chilling eyes, radiating a frigid aura that caused his knees to weaken, and he fell directly to the ground in fear.
Bai Xingluo looked down at the male bug as if viewing something foul and needing to be exterminated, the light in his pale eyes gleaming coldly.
The trembling male bug begged, “General, I… I’m the designer your steward sent for; please don’t misunderstand…”
“Misunderstand?”
Bai Xingluo scoffed, slightly bending down, his deadly pressure constricting the designer’s throat. “Can you tell me what exactly I am misunderstanding?”
Help!
The female bug felt as though he might die at any moment, yet a clear voice interrupted, calling, “Luo Luo, you’re awake.”
The suffocating pressure instantly dissipated, replaced with a completely different visage.
“Lord, I’m late.”
“It’s fine; she was just about to help me take my measurements.” Tong Sui glanced at the fallen male bug. “What’s wrong? Not feeling well?”
The designer fell silent. After a moment of holding back, under Bai Xingluo’s deadly gaze, he softly admitted, “…No.”
Tong Sui turned to Bai Xingluo, holding the tape measure. “Why don’t we have Luo Luo measure for me? Would that be okay?”
Bai Xingluo’s eyes lit up at this, and he quickly nodded. He cautiously approached Tong Sui, kneeling on one knee, his posture sincere like a subject humbly greeting his Lord. He tilted his chin slightly, while his flowing dark hair fell behind him, brilliant in its elegance. The dark tape measure rested on his clearly defined fingertips, creating an unintended allure.
Karl and the male bug stood nearby, stunned.
Is this really the imperial star who once seemed so lofty?
Bai Xingluo’s fingers gently pressed against the soft fabric, his fingers gliding along the taut waist as he unfurled the tape measure, wrapping it gently around once, peering at the number.
His fingers trembled slightly.
The Lord’s waist is so slender…
After measuring the waist, it was now time for the bust.
He slowly rose and gulped down a hard swallow, unsure if his voice was hoarse from just waking or from something else.
“Lord, please lift your hand.”
Tong Sui obediently raised his hand, and Bai Xingluo’s fingers trembled noticeably, almost dropping the measuring tape to the floor.
A drop of glistening sweat slid down the tense edge of his brow.
Meanwhile, the male bug and Karl watched, initially in shock, but began to feel something was amiss, unexplainably thirsty.
What seemed like a completely normal action suddenly felt so wrong.
After finishing all the measurements, Bai Xingluo’s back was soaked in sweat, and his psychic energy began to stir again, leaving him nearly too weak to stand.
His knees ached as he pushed against the ground and slowly stood up. “Lord, I’ve completed your measurements; please sit and rest for a moment.”
“Okay.”
The originally gentle Bai Xingluo, when turning to face the designer, instantly radiated a cold aura.
